A loyalty program exists to encourage sales through existing customers. Hence, it's suitable for any business that you want customers to come back. These businesses can be categorised from small to large.

Some small businesses include:

  •     Restaurants,
  •     Bakeries,
  •     Butchery,
  •     Beauty salon as well as other health services,
  •     Accountants.

Examples of large businesses include:

  •     Department stores,
  •     Garden centres,
  •     Electronics and whitegoods stores.

So if you happen to be in the funeral industry, should you offer a rewards program? Probably not. But your business can offer a rewards program which your business could partner with other businesses. For example, if you own a bridal parlour, you would not offer your own rewards scheme. Instead, you might consider an off-the-shelf rewards program where your customers can accrue frequent flyer points or alternative rewards that would help them ease the cost of their wedding.
